She usually moves my car off my personal parking space and puts my Permit on display with the time. Then parks hers in my space.  All fine till today when my car won't start as it has been unused for so long.  I think because she is working for me she can do that.  Am I right please?

I don't understand why you moved your car and didn't give her the badge to put in her own car. It's exactly the same thing

but cl the carer is using the bb to get free parking ie moving lb's car out of her space, and parking it for free on the meter, whilst getting free parking in LBs space

The badge can be displayed in any car, though. It is not linked to any vehicle

Sorry Barry you've lost me.  My BB is in MY car with MY photo on it.  I couldn't get it on a meter even if I wanted to as they are permanently all full and too faraway.

And No the people in my block are not watching and waiting to report me.  They go out of their way to help me, taking my rubbish out to the bin area for example and asking if I need anything when they are going shopping.  Before I was ill I used to do a lot for this block and they know and appreciate that.  I still take their parcels in for them while they are at work.  We are all friendly.

I'm not arguing this any more.  Too upsetting.

I am confused. Does the road have parking Meters?

I'm confused, too.

Too many people with too many differing answers/opinions.

My road doesn't have parking meters.

Please don't get upset.  I cant see any reason for not carrying on as you are.   LB, I can admit when I had to stop driving it was probably the worse thing ever.  My independence was over.  It was like my life was over.  Sounds dramatic, but it's true.   I can totally understand your situation.

I thought not LB.  And there's no yellow lines either.  So no problem.  You can do what you like.

I would say that carers carry a lot of equipment around with them and they  are con a tight time schedule, so to park as near to a clients home as possible is the best idea  then the go in and out to their cars  as much as they like,

Thank you CL.

You take care xx

I will Lottie.  It's snowing here now and has been on and off all day.  Any where you are?

sorry if my answer ws a trigger for making you feel upset, although your question was "am i right" and the answer is "no you're not"

if there's no meters, and no on street parking restricions i am also a bit confused about why the carer uses the BB in your car tho!

Only a few flakes for 5 minutes, but so cold.  I must admit I'm still under the duvet!  I'm waiting here until Mr lottie lights the wood burner.  The heating is on, but i feel the cold so badly.  Not only can I not exercise, I'm on blood thinners brrrŕrrrrr.   Xx

Bednobs //if there's no meters, and no on street parking restricions i am also a bit confused about why the carer uses the BB in your car tho!\\

There are no meters on my road, correct.

There are parking restrictions on my road.

It is practically impossible for a visitor to get a parking space in my area.

Jesus...I bet you wish you had never asked now!

yes

I'm not sure but I think you need to be in the car for the permit to be used.

I am sure: you dont

Your carer can use it to  get a bottle of pop for you ( you at home in bed wanting the pop)

she can't use it for getting  a bottle of pop for herself.

This should be clear in the book you get with the card.

I have had the honour of being videod with a blue card. I  had just emerged from  a pub ( 1500) after a meal out and was hardly able to stand....The man videoing me waved.

The carer can be in the car alone - if they have dropped you at a shop, surgery or dentist, honeslty it is in the book
