Why Might This Be Happening To Me?
Why is my life like this years single, still at home and not in a full time job.Since my ex just before covid I've been on dates bit no success first guy is my fault as I didn't make any effort I'm forever beating myself up. I meant go be meeting someone Saturday but don't think I like him. Also need a full time job I can settle in I shouldn't be at home at my age.

Yes, the next one might be really good too, and you might do well and you might get kept on... but you'll know yourself that your expectations and an employer's aren't the same. I do worry about you and the 'one off' things - warehouse work could be ideal because you liked that one brief spell, you thought you were all set because you had one good date with the quite nice guy. I feel you need a little reality check from time to time!
Abbey, you thought you were doing well in the warehouse... they didn't keep you on . You thought you were fine in the care home... they cut your hours down drastically. You thought you were OK in the cleaning firm... they moved you into the laundry section. None of us were there, of course, so can't actually say how good an employee you were.
I'm going to get shouted at by everyone but here goes:
Abbey, none of us on AB have met you but after reading lots of your many posts have you ever ever seen a doctor and been diagnosed with any kind of learning issues, autism, or just general day to day difficulties in communicating with people or being understood? Has your mother mentioned any of the above issues to you? Or have you sat down with her and told her how you really feel, or what you tell us about how you feel?
Either way, I really really feel that you should make an appointment to see your doctor and I really do think it could help to take your mother with you. If you do make an appointment write down everything you want to say on a piece of paper before you go and take it with you. I know you post lots and lots of posts here about your life but none of us are truly qualified to give you the very best medical advice, or advice that can really help x
Abbey if I were in your situation I would go back to McDonalds where you know you can do the job and get more hours. Stick it out and get your debts paid off, get some money in the bank then in a couple of years have a look at where you are. You might even meet someone else working there that you like.
Smowball we do know that Abbey has some difficulties, and that is why she has problems communicating on here and in jobs. I am sad to say that people are pressuring her to do things that she is not truly capable of and don't understand how difficult it is for her to understand some of what is being said. Its also why she seems to move from a genuinely serious concern (eg jobs) to what most of us would consider frivolous (what colour nails) but to Abbey these are just as important to her and she needs reassurance she is doing/saying the right things.
