You may have to tune the combi in to the correct channel. Is the combi plugged into a built in socket in the wall? Some sockets are not suitable; easy and cheap to change. We had this problem in a house with built in sockets, bypass or change the socket. Retune channel before anything else.
There's also a setting withing the digibox menus you need to change. Can't remember where it is, but it's something to do with allowing power to get to the magic eye. Check the instructions of the magic eye because it definately told me what to do when I bought mine.

not sure what you mean by magic eye. if its one of those gadgets thats sends the signal from main tv to one in another room then i had a similar problem.the solution for me was to read the instructions correctly it turned out that the scart leads for sender and receiver are different and have to be connected correctly .once i had connected the sender scart to sender unit and receiver scart to receiver everything worked
