I got this in an e-mail some time ago, it's American but can be adapted........

Why do you trust a cold email, but not want cold calls?

There are these two sites, may be others, but I don't know of them, www.tsponline.org.uk This one is the telephone preference service, and www.msponline.org.uk is the mail preference service, both are free, and should stop marketing companies from using your personel and home details.

Hi druiaghtagh,

This is what your looking for, I have yet to use mine but I keep it by the telephone hoping one will ring soon!

Thanks Toureman, that just what im looking for, fantastic !!!
Why not just sign up to the telephone preference service which stops all these calls. If your on the line asking them questions then it may prove entertaining but its still an inconvenience.
I'm with the Telephone Preference Services and whilst they stop unwanted sales calls, marketing research companies can still contact you apparently
