I have used cardboard with gasket sealant on engines in the past
1mm thick corck sheet, about 20 layers of grease proof paper, 1mm thick soft rubber sheet, stuff that is impermeable and that will allow for imperfections in the two mating surfaces. If its a gasket for the cylinder head it needs to be the same thickness as the original gasket.
I've used an offcut of lino before!
Heavy brown paper coated with grease on both sides.
Your nearest Motorcycle repair specialist - especially a small local long established one - should be able to sell you some genuine gasket paper.

cylinderheads; use a thin aluminium or copper sheet. local metal work shop

other areas; you can use a cereal packet & instant gasket (spread thinly)

local car spares shop may have proper gasket paper. wot about halfords?
