The other link from kempie gives Diphtheria is a very contagious and potentially life-threatening bacterial disease

Diphtheria or Dyptheria both are correct according to a further try

"Dyptheria" does not exist in the OED nor any of the online dictionaries except for Wikipedia - "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" - which redirects to an entry for diphtheria.
