Why would you need to swim uphill when water is always self levelling?
Yours questioningly,
!!
No, you have to wait until it freezes and then you can ski up it!
Salmon do it every year.

If a human were to try this it should never be done with the backstroke. You won't know when you've reached the top and fall off on the other side!
Swim up-river you mean? probably if it's a gentle flow, all rivers are in effect going down-hill, just some faster than others.
in effect,yes it's possible
Don't be silly!
Much easier before you reach the surface.
You do all know about GRAVITY, right?!
great question.... if a stream or river is moving slowly and you swim against the flow, you ARE swimming up-hill... maybe not a large elevation, but you are going up hill...
you wanna explain GRAVITY for us Willow ? cant see where youre coming from with your answer...

no it was superman
My local swimming pool is built on a hill, most people swim the downhill leg but the council has put wide steps on the lower end so people can get out easily and walk up the hill then swim down again.
How does the water stay at an angle then? Surely it would level itself as LindyLouLou said?
