Hobs again!

Sorry about this, but how would I be able to tell which mine is, in the absence of a handbook?

Ceramic gets hot
Halogen lights up and gets hot (when you turn it on, you can see a light-bulb through the hob material)
Induction doesn't get hot until you place a metal pan on it.
