how can you make the "clicking" noise stop when opening a new window in WIndows XP? (when volume is turned up)

Go to ''start'' then ''control panel'' then ''sounds and audio devices'' and you will find a list of all the events and sounds the system is set up to use. you can select sounds to be off or change the sound for each event.
