Advice appreciated- my much loved walking boots- leather- are too small... Have my feet grown, has the leather shrunk?
How can I stretch them?

pukemapu - I suggest you phone up your nearest cobblers & see if they have a device that will stretch your boots, they will probably charge you a small amount.
Hi Pukemapu,

If your boot is a little tight across the top it can be stretched widthwise, however it is impossible to lengthen a boot.

My Grandmother used to swear by wet newspaper if shoes were too tight. She would soak the newspaper, squeeze the water out and pack it tightly in the shoes and leave a day or two. When the paper was removed the shoes always seemed to have a bit more room in them (along with a little newspaper print)!

Must be worth a try...Granny knows best!
