Printer very slow

We have a Hewlett Packard printer which was very good, but its now three years old and has gone very very slow. Its just taken 40 minutes to print 15 sheets. Does anyone know what could be wrong.

could you have it on the best quality setting?

this will always take longer than draft or normal quality

My old HP printer did much the same and I found that dried ink on the carriage slides was causing it to struggle to print. Clean them thoroughly with some WD40 on a cloth and see if it makes a difference.

you might ave to down load a new driver
that might help
