If you've got a bath (rather than a shower) give it a good swill in warm water which has a little Fairy Liquid or some other similar soap solution, and a little Dettol, then rinse well in tepid water until all the soap solution has been cleared. Hang out to dry on a nice windy day, preferably inside out so that no little crannies of moisture remain. . When it's perfectly dry, the smell should have disappeared but you can then always give it a very light dusting of talcum powder to maintain it in good condition..
