I log on to AB nearly every day, but I'm disappointed that there are hardly any new users & the questions are minimal. Could AB advertise more, to create a bigger sight? Apart from that it's a good!

Hi Smudge, I have been visiting the site now for a number of years along with a few others on the site and you'll find if you hang around that there periodically are lulls like this for whatever reason.....in a week or two the place will be awash with users you've never heard of before and floods of questions wanting to know what the newest fady adverts soundtrack is.....patience my friend:>)

Hi sft42, thanx for your prompt reply. I wasn't sure how long AB had been going, but now you say that you've been using it for years, I will look forward to the next 'episode'. Patience is a virtue! Cheers. :>]
If memory serves, the AB is heading for it's third aniversary, and as advised by my esteemed colleague, it does go in cycles, so no doubt a new crop are waiting to wow us with the breadth and depth of their questions. We, as regulars, will do our best, as always, to respond.

or what Gods Sandwich would be. this got deleted from body and soul for some reason...
Hi smudge. AB seems to get its majority of traffic from search engines. Due to the nature of this forum, it is difficult to distinguish between tongue-in-cheek commends and insults. Many people are easily offended. We had an exodus of some long-time contributors not so long ago. Some temporary contributors are just plain idiots, and can cause some real uproars here.

Unfortunately, AB does not listen to its members and after countless suggestions for some very positive changes, the only one I've seen is where the star rated answers don't shoot to the top anymore. With the absence of a much asked for quiz/rant/ section, I for one, am still peeved off that sft42's 'record attempt' was closed down. It was an ideal place where everyone could talk utter rubbish and let of some steam.

Hi y'all, well now I've posed the question, perhaps things will improve? It's a good site, but needs more participants. Watch this space...............Cheers!
Smudge, I've been away for a couple of months and have noticed that it's a bit quiet and tame, but I've just slipped in a chrissie joke & waiting to see how long before it's removed.

Spot on Wildwood: I was part of that exodus (Hi to everyone who remembers me), and it was largely because the site didn't just go downhill, but rather fell off a cliff! Couple that with workload tripling overnight and the sad fact was that when I did bother to log on and see anything new, I just could not be bothered answering questions... I just totally failed to see why these people were asking something that I knew had been asked here at least a dozen times already (I knew because I'd answered them each time), and things that I knew were readily available using the simplest of searched in Google.... If they're that lazy, I figured I'd return the laziness.... So, everyone.... prove me wrong!
