I purchased a bathroom suite from wickes with a partially curved bath (Mr Greedy shape) and two full height lovely curved shower doors (toughened glass). Unfortunately the doors are quite a bit too high for the bathroom.....Wickes will not take them back, and I can't drop the bath down.

Is there any way you can cut curved toughened glass?

If not would anyone like to buy them at a seriously reduced rate.

It could be dangerous to cut them - would it affect their strength in any way? Phone your local glazier for his opinion. Then another one to be sure. :)

You could try selling them on eBay - collection only.
I'm surprised Wickes won't take them back unless they're no longer in new condition. They're obviously unsuitable and not fit for their purpose. I'd have thought that would be grounds for a refund. Give Trading Standards a call and see what they say on this.
I think getting a refund on the 'unfit for their purpose' clause depends on wether you stated the size of your bathroom to a member of staff who then sold them to you to fit your bathroom. If you did then indeed they are unfit for your purpose - if not then you bought the wrong thing which are fit for their intended purpose which is being installed in a larger bathroom. However I'm sure most places are are fairly understanding and will change / refund if it's a current range and you havn't had them a long time before finding this out and they are in a condition which will allow re-sale. You may have to pay a collection fee etc.

They are still in new conditon, i.e. in the original box!

I even offered to take them back to the distributon centre, so there would be no effort on their part, and even suggested that a refund to half the value would be lovely as it was my fault, or a credit to buy other products, but still to no avail, even though we had spent an awful lot of money with them (new kitchen and bathroom).

WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM WICKES AGAIN!
Please please please do not go near the glass with a glass cutter!
You can not cut toughened glass.
If all else fails put them on ebay.
Its not Wikes fault they do not fit, at the end of the day you should have measured them before you bought them.
An expensive lesson !
