A friend is moving to Sweden for Uni and wants to take her PC with her, will it still work is she just sticks a power adapter on the plug? or is the power supply out there different?

The electricity supply in the UK is 240v, 50 Hertz (Cycles per Second). In Sweden the supply is 230v but not sure on the rest. I would think that as long as you have the correct plug/socket converter and the internal PSU in the PC is 230-240v rated, you shouldnt have many problems. Voltage in the Uk varies between 230-240 volts depending on where you live. where we are it is precisely 232v. your comp will work perfectly well in sweden with the right plug

No problem with the adapter. I moved here from Scotland a few years ago. Your friend should make sure she buys her adapters in UK though - virtually impossible to buy them here.
