I am having a problem with Java , does anyone know of a solution. I keep getting the following error message :--

Java (TM) Plug In Fatal Error.
---------------------------------------
Several Java virtual machines
running in the same process
caused an error.
-----------------------------------------

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The most likely problem is an incompatible browser add-on, apparently, though there are a wide range of possible add-ons that it could be, according to the other people's experiences...

I am similarly unable to use Java with Internet Explorer. I find I need to log on with Mozilla Firefox to have success with Java applications???

Firefox sorted it.
