just wondering how much electricity my treadmill will use when its on. I mean i know nothing about voltage etc and therefore dont know if everything uses the same amount ie. a light or a treadmill, or if bigger things use more?? if anyone could advise me then i would be very greatful!!!

Check the power of your treadmill, it should be printed on a metal plate, perhaps near the cable inlet.
Assuming your treadmill has a power of 1000 Watts (1 kilowatt) it will cost approximately 7 pence per hour to run.
