I'd really like to know if there's a book or website where I could learn the basics of editorial skills - copy editing, subbing, style, etc etc. I'm wanting to go into editing as a career (mags and books etc) and have limited work experience and just wondered if this sort of 'teach-yourself' book existed?? Thanks

Rather than try to learn from a book, you're better off trying to get a post at your local paper - as a "runner". That's how I learnt or try courses like this http://www.deepsouthmedia.co.uk/journalism%20train
