No thanks when answering q's

Am I the only one who gets a little bit peeved at no recognition being made when you go out of your way to answer a question?
Maybe it should be mandatory for the question poster to thank or rate the answerers?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I must have answered thousands of crossword and quiz questions on here and about ten percent of them say thank you.It's a bit like the rude people whom you hold the door open for in a shop and they just waltz past you as if you are part of the fixtures . I don't expect people to bow down and thank me profusely but it doesn't hurt to say thank you especially if someone has gone to a lot of trouble for you. Especially some of the great people on her like Chris (Buenchico) and Ethel and many many more;too many to mention ,who give really informative answers. I'm afraid that's life these days Matt.
Manners maketh man or so the saying goes ..but I wouldn't let it worry you too much .Have a large drink and put it down to experience .If you don't drink ..have one of Boo's cakes instead :)
