the amount of feedback a person has received. I think it starts at 10 and every time a certain number has been reached, the star changes into a different star or a different icon altogether.

it doesnt start at 10 - it starts at zero as youd expect.once you reach 10 feedback stars you then get to use 'buynow' - it then goes up in stages as mentioned
