we have had sky+ for 2 years now and has been ok with the old tv we had, just brought a new tv which is hd ready and freeview built-in but when i connected the tv to the sky+ thro scart lead (as b4) the screen on the new tv is flickering all the time but doesnt do it on the freeview channels only when thro sky
i have change the lead so many times and is doing the same, do i need one of them hdim leads or something differnet
can someone please let me no as its doing my head in

it could possibly be a cheap scart lead acording to my hubby. he says the more you spend on a scart the better quality you will get.dont know if that will help!
R u receiving Sky with the card (fee paying) or the freeview Sky channels.

If the latter, those channels have been flickering on my tv for sometime - I think its something to do with wave-transmits as today it's all perfect.

the lead i have is the one with the gold end on it , i thought that was a better one

i have sky which u pay for, in the mornings it seem to be ok sometimes, at nite it is worst
In had a similar problem and it was solved by reprogramming the remote control. A friend came and did mine or I'd never had solved it.

Sorry mumofone but I was in the middle of a dinner party when the guy arrived and I didn't watch what he was doing. I had bought a new TV and DVD. Not sure which remote needed reprogramming but I think it was the Sky+. There may be instructions in the brochure?

thank you anyway but had a sky bloke out to check the sky box and he told me it was the scart connections in the back of the tv they was faulty so have took the tv back now and got a competely differnet one now
