digital tv - splitting the signal
4 Answers
I have a arial which splits into 2 - one bit goes to the kitchen and one bit to the dining room.
As we approach digital day I am wondering how I can convert to digital without having to get 2 new TVs. If i buy a digi box, is it possible to split the out put into 2?
There is no need to record items, they can be done on the main TV which I have already changed over to digital.
Any digital TV experts out there?
Thanks

I would firstly boost the signal, with a distribution amp, as when you split you effectively halve the strength.
with traditional analogue you could get a watchable pic in these circumstances, but the digital signal is weaker so this is probably no longer sufficient, as it is 'all or nothing' - you either get a clear pic or nowt!
you would then need a small digital set top box for each tv...you can get them for as little as 15 quid, but still...
welcome to the world of digital con! which sadly means having to complicate things and splash out on such things.
