I'll tell you what I would do. Don't let them leak out uselessly in the lounge. Get upstairs to bed, hold them back until you (and nobody else) are well tucked up, then strain hard and let fly. Lift the duvet and enjoy.

Sprout farts aren't loud though, if they are there is a danger of small lumps. You need to let them creep out with a minimum of assistance, and they will reward you all night.
