do children under 6 need photo id/passport when travelling within the uk with a parent who has their own passport but not with the children on it. Flying with airline bmibaby

yes, everyone needs their own passport regardless of age.
check with bmibaby what ID they accept.

no one needs a passport to travel within the UK. However airlines always ask for Photo id and the passport is the most readily acceptable form of this.
well, normally would say not needed for the uk, however saw parents being asked for childrens passports going to isle of man from uk. know its not technically british and its a protectorate maybe this is why, best contact who your flying with they may vary.
For domestic flights, photo ID is not required under the age of 16. Although, as blackietwo says, the Isle of Man is not a part of the UK, I feel it would be treated as a domestic flight for this purpose. For confirmation, ring
