attached to wall with copper pipe attached that feeds water into a ch radiator. The copper pipe feeder has detached from flower-pot thingy - how can it be fixed? It's an aged system and local plumbers are puzzled by it. Any ideas for repairing, please? She can't afford a renewed ch system.
Although unfamiliar with a "ch" system (this comming from the U.S.) the flower-pot thingy is probably a backflow arrester (stops the water from moving in the wrong direction). The heat from the radiator could force the water back into the pipes...so it is necessary to prevent this.Your locals should have a part to replace that.........P.S. Find the oldest...

Cowboy plumbers - hmmmf! All suggested complete new installation at £kks....I found retired plumber who fixed it for £40 (had to force payment on him).
The pot is known as a 'Grecian reservoir'. Needed was a new brass coupling (resevoir to pipe), 1metre of pipe, renewed washers & glue-hardener.
