Grinding Noise on Ford Puma

Hello, I have a V reg (2000) ford PUMA

I am aware that on this model the ABS management unit tests itself between 15-20 MPH (when first moving off) and when it does so it makes a short grinding noise. This I can live with.

However at low revs (around 2000rpm) something is making a grinding/buzzing noise for a longer period of time.

It is doing it at random and lasts for approx 3 seconds. It sounds similar to the ABS management noise but for a longer period of time.

Also if I happen to have my foot on the brake at the time i have noticed that the abs has been activated for no reason (ie not slippy surface on road etc)

I have taken it to ford now about 5 times and they can't find the fault.

please please help!
