what parts make up a shirt?

Hi, I would really like to know what parts make up a ****** and what the pattern would be for when it is cut out of the fabric. Any links etc, very useful! Thank you very much!!

I've read your question through several times and feel I'm possibly missing something!!  Do you really want to know about shirt patterns?

Parts are: collar (lower and upper), collar band, yoke (if used), back, left front, right front, left front facing, right front facing, pocket(s) (if used), sleeve (this can be just one piece, or two pieces), sleeve placket, cuff.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by what the pattern would be for....

If you google "sewing a shirt" you get various links.  This one has lessons in making a shirt (replace lesson 1 with lesson 2,3,4,5,6 etc.).

k8_doran doesn't really wants to know about making shirts. Otherwise why would he allude to shirts in the body of the text as ****** ? It seems like he means something other than shirts...

I do mean shirts and I m not a he! I do not know why it has put stars there but I am not some weirdo like you think I am-Dark angel!! Thank you for your information Chocclare, I need to make a shirt out of paper and so that is why I asked here. Thank you for your help again.

Is it possible that you missed out an 'r' from 'shirt' and got the consequent mucky word which was starred out?
