hi ,i've a indesit w93 washing machine that sticks on the heat water part of its wash cycle ,the water was getting pretty hot aprox 90--95 centigrade and the soap compartment nearly melted .anyany ideas on how to remidy the situation?

With such faults, the service engineer usually replaces the control unit. It's probably cheaper to do this, than repair the unit.

Probably the thermostat needs replacing.

Definitely the thermostat needs replacing.  It's a small component which cuts of electricity to heating element when water is hot enough.  Cheap item but probably expensive to pay someone to replace it!
