I own a vehicle that is a Category D write-off. After the accident in 2007 ( which was only a dented bumper ) I received an insurance payout and bought the car from the insurance company. Since then it has been insured and licenced and past the MOT with no problem. How do I get the Cat D erased from the likes of MYCARCHECK.

Basically you cant, if you got it removed you could sell it as though it had never been in an accident let alone been classed as a write-off.
nut - it can't be - it was a D write off
you can't, if you could the whole system would be pointless.
However.. keep all paperwork and repair documents as you could then prove that there was no serious structural damage if you come to sell it!
I sold a car that had been written off years ago that I bought back from the insurers... and it was all fine.
