As I said in your original post, the police do not get involved in damage only accidents, you would only have heard from them if you were being charged with an offence such as careless driving.

eddie51 - Thank you for your answer but surley if you hit a fence that was,nt ur - you would get points or penalty on your licence. How long do they have before they have to respond to you in. can I carry on driving thou.

No, you don't.
The Police are singularly uninterested in the accident.
It is a Civil Matter and not a Criminal Traffic Offence, so don't worry about that.

There is NO chance now of being charged with an offence, just carry on as normal. Did you not say you were trying to avoid a car that overtook you too closely? So there is no carelessness any way.

yes I did tell them that. but they said road traffic will be in touch with me its been over 6-7 months and apart from loss adjuster no one has, i have drivern for months either incase i get disquilfied or something, my friends told me its better to wait sometimes it coudl take years..
