I hate my job with a passion and really want to leave as soon as possible! I have mortgage protection insurance. If I am sacked will my mortage be paid? I know it will not be paid if I take voluntary redundancy. I intend to work... just not where I am now!
Thanks. I was made redundant a few years ago and my mortgage would have been paid for 2 years. I found a job within two months so only needed to claim for 2 months. Would they pay out if I was sacked?
.....6 months would be fine for me as I would not expect to be out of work for that long. I just can't stay here much longer it's driving me mad and that's no exaggeration!!!
Its no fun being in a job you cant stand. I left mine without another job to go to and luckily was only unemployed for one month. My mortgage company allowed me to have a payment holiday which helped matters no end. This is apparently included in many mortgage deals but is not advertised as much as the interest rate etc so it is well worth checking out with them
you are so right... I am utterly miserable at the moment! It's the first time I have actually hated a job, not a nice feeling at all!
I'll have a word with my mortgage provider tomorrow.
seriously, how do you expect anyone else to know what type of contract you have with the insurance co? Simply look at the documents! It's not hard is it?
you may not be covered for being sacked or willingly leaving your job. Most will only pay due to a redundancy and most will only pay out after a certain amount of tie eg after 28, in that time you would have found another job.
Speak top you lenders about a payment holiday, leave and get another job. Alternative couldnt you borrw 1-2 months wages from someone and pay it back?
