Just brought a second hand minibus for personal use. What insurance do I need?

Your usual insurer may take you or you may have to try Norwich Union or Zurich. I f it is just for personnel use you will need to have a driving licence to cover all the seats it has, i.e. D1 or D1E of you want to tow a trailer, you will have this if you past your driving test before the late 1980's I can not remember the exact date. If anybody including an insurance company says that you can not insure or even drive a minibus just for personnel use they are completely
wrong.
Colin6789 is correct as you can get minibus insurance for personal use. I've got some friends who used the The Minibus Club and they said they were very helpful.

Larger companies that are good include the Post Office or 14:49 Tue 12th Aug 2008
