Anyone know if I would be able to add my daughter who is over 40 as a named driver onto my Saga car insurance for over 50's.

I also heard there could be an admin fee for producing the new document. My daughter is willing to pay the extra but not the sum of £49 which the admin fee could be. I don't renew until August which is a pain. I am aware it would be against the law after 1st Jan, and am in panic mode just now. Thanks for your help chrissa1 and madmaggot
There won't be any admin fee just asking Saga. None of us know you policy details and so could not answer your question honestly. Whereas Saga would be able to give you an absolute yes or no. If you are thinking of being dishonest with Saga and not telling them about your daughter then that is fraud. It does not pay to withhold any information from your insurance company in the long run. i do apologise if my answer came across unhelpful. But I still feel that they are the only ones who can actually help you answer your question. Also if your daughter is actually becoming a main driver but you are classing her as a named driver then that not being honest with them either.

Okay, thanks everyone for your input, I will give them a ring and see what the damage will be. I don't think being a pensioner has upped my quote as I got it for £112 for the year. Just worried it will be hiked right up having a named driver. If she can't afford to pay it she will have to use the bus. lol!!
