Job hunting hell :-(

I have been unsuccessfully searching for events coordinator/marketing assistant jobs for 7 months now and its really getting me down. I work longer hours searching for jobs than all my friends do in their offices... where are the jobs and why do I keep getting turned down for them? All I want is to be considered, even replied to, or invited to a few interviews? I've got 2 yrs events management experience but because its catering everyone turns their noses up. I only graduated a year ago... what can they expect?

Maybe it is your CV that is putting people off.. Have you tried getting advice on writing one correctly. Your local job centre can help with this
Hey ,

I can understand your frustration. I suppose you have tried recruitment agencies, but have you tried the specalist agencies?
The local streetmarket ones i found are rubbish and only want people to register and selling jobs under false protenses.
Also you can get good tips on the net about CV's just type it in google.
If not, have you thought about maybe studying a course in Catering ? You can do this in your own time when it suits you too !! Type in google ' Jobtrain. '.

Smile and be positive . There is ALWAYS a silver lining :) !!!
