I have a job interview today as a fundraising administrator (I have never worked for a charity or done any fundraising before), and I have been advised that after the interview, there will be a task for me to do. They didn't tell me what the task would be.
Does anyone have any ideas what the task could be?
I am really, really nervous and I really don't want to mess this up as I really want this job.
Thanks in advance

Can't help you with what they may want, but 'Good Luck' with the interview, I hope you get the job. Just be yourself don't worry too much.

Thanks furrypusscat. I just hope that my nerves don't get the better of me.
usually the task is part of the interview - they might (for instance) ask you how you would approach a new fundraising initiative, how you would engage the public, how you'd "sell" the fundraising.

if you're administering rather than being the fundraising manager, then you might have to do things like count collection boxes, maintain records of donations (gifts or cash), etc. Don't forget that if donors are taxpayers, the charity can claim back the tax if the person fills in the Gift Aid form.

Good luck!

Thanks Boxtops.
I have a feeling they would either ask me how I would go about starting a fundraising campaign or, how I would write a letter to a benefactor, maybe.

Thanks
