Bored of my job

My job title is credit controller which i have been doing since i left school at 18 (i'm now 23) working for three different companies over the years but i don't think this is the right career for me but i don't know what i want to do in life. i thought i might enjoy a job in media, say a magazine or tv company but how would i know if i'd like it and what would/could i do.....?

Well my suggestion would be perhaps getting a similar job in a media company, that way you can work in an environment you like and do a job you're comfortable with. Once you've proved yourself, then perhaps apply for a different role in the same company. This is what I did, I worked in finance as well and then moved to a music company and did a similar role. Now I'm doing something completely different - music research and loving it!

I'm not sure where you live but if its the London area, you could try big media companies like emap who have these kind of roles.
