Visit www.natives.co.uk they are THE community website for all season workers. I have always used they 'Job Search' to find ski season jobs. I wouldn't advise just 'turning up' in resort hoping to find something - you'd be VERY lucky if you did. If you have no choice then go early November before all the Scandinavians arrive and steal the jobs or go mid January when ski bums have run out of money, workers get injured and have to return home or New Year blues set in!
All this said, once you 'do' a season you will NEVER want to stop. It's hard work, totally exhausting but sooooo much fun.
Make sure you check out the guide on the website to 'what to expect' it's pretty much spot on and written by people who are doing it year in year out.
Hope you find something - I'm going to be working in Val d'Isere - if you end up there let me know I'll show you around.
Good luck.
