Hi Fatema !
office styles vary - I was recently taught to put Dear and not Hi

Dear xyz Please submit your leave application to ( email address ) before 24 Sep 2016 so that I may update your leave record. Thank you ABC ( Fatema) at HR

we had formal lessons on this on the AAT 2 course
( but then fifty years ago we had formal lessons on writing and typing office letters...)

it has the elements of 1) who it is from 2) what they want them to do 3) a return address 4) a date

others - who actualy work in offices may have different ideas
Unsure what you are asking. But you seem to have written a decent enough e-mail for the employee.

"Hi xyz. Please submit your leave application form before Sep 24, so that I may update your leave record. Thanks abc "

Don't HR supply the forms ?
Hi Geez

the kidz have to be taught about formality in an office as the skoolz are lacking this as well as fundamental arithmetic, communication, and so on

Hi was too informal
thx is not acceptable
email addresses should not be 'funny' - [email protected] and so on. luvaboy as a handle definitely out

Inter employee communications were never scrutinised tat much when I was employed. The board may send diktats down but they were not strictly enforced. However you speak to your collogues or staff should be fine for an e-mail. But I guess it can vary from company to company.

fatema's English was fairly near though.
...scrutinised that much...
as I typed >:-(
...your colleagues or...

is the spell check not working on my PC or something ?
we all have difficulty with new gadgets Geez-baby

what is wrong with a post-card ? that's what I say

Something like that... I'm not sure why it matters that he was out of the office, but put it in if it's relevant.
