leaving the army ?

I'm thinking of leaving the army and wondered if there was any sort of company that helped leavers get jobs or give advice. I have served for 8 years in the British Army and would love if you could give me some advice.

The last guy I interviewed who had just left army had experience in logistics, stores, FLT driving, Class 2 driving, security, etc - we placed him as a stores manager within 2 weeks. hope this helps and lots of luck,
Hi Stewy. I wish you all the best in trying in Civi Street. I left a life of counter-terrorism (S.O.) within the last year after many years in it, and have found it very difficult to find employment related to my skills (in CT). Prospective employers look at my CV and admit they don't know how to place me in their industries. Thankfully though, I also had a background in TV and Film Production which I have had to go back into. I did try specialist marine security but got fed up with living in Monoco (believe me, that job was NOT as glamorous as people would think!). It depends on what you do in the Army as to your outcome. A careers advisor (Ex-Service Careers Advisor) should be able to help. Or, you could maybe join a specialist security agency? Like me, you may find you are 'over-qualified' (as 'they' put it). Ho hum. Good luck. I'll stick to production work methinks.
