Is it a mistake to give up a good job in the states in midst of a globe pandemic so that my husband can do a 4 year low paying post doc at Cambridge? If I do move with him and our two children, how hard will it be as an American to get a job in Cambridge?

i am still rather confused about your visa situation. Do you have a visa to work? if you have already applied for and received your visadoes that mean you have already decided to come anyway?
I didn't say skills, I said qualifications.....

As far as visa status goes we have not applied yet, we can’t apply until 3 months before you intend to travel. The post doc does not start until September 2020. The post doc is a great career builder for my spouse and it not easy to get a four year post doc at Cambridge. We have been planning for over a year but what we didn’t plan for was a global pandemic happening. Mostly I’m just nervous it’s a big life change and I just want it to go smoothly.
can he go and you follow?
