4 Year Low Paying Post Doc And Spouse Giving Up Job In States
28 Answers
Is it a mistake to give up a good job in the states in midst of a globe pandemic so that my husband can do a 4 year low paying post doc at Cambridge? If I do move with him and our two children, how hard will it be as an American to get a job in Cambridge?

It has easy transport links to London, and the midlands; fabulous health and education facilities and is affluent and safe.
On the other hand, it is one of the most expensive places to live and if your life style depends on you being able to earn a particular salary level then you would need to research your own prospects and the cost of accomodation, before making any decisions.
Being a multicultural university city and close the US Air base at Mildenhall, there is no issue with you being American when it comes to recruitment.
All assuming this is post lockdown of course.
