I am happy where I am but they've now said they can only give me 2 hours Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday so I don't know what to do.

Well done, abbey.  Just tell your mum.  What's not to be pleased about?  You've done well.

Well if it is not going to earn you enough money, there's only one thing you can do and that is look for something else.

Could you seriously live on the income from 8 hours per week?

Look for another job in the same field to work alongside your current job.  Many people work two or more part time jobs

Why not offer to work some weekends or different hours and see what happens

Only 2 hours what they can offer but I been applying for others to work aswell as

That's a shame Abbey...you finally find something you like and they have what appears to be cut backs. I hope that you can find something else that you are equally comfortable in.

I'm applying for retail or warehouse as an extra but yes I was enjoying it but gotta have another job on top or find a full time.

Question Author

They thought it was to much presure

So maybe it's a polite way of saying again they thought you weren't really up to the job in their view. Shame because you liked it

They thought it was too much pressure for you ?

Do you feel like the work is too hard for you ?

Cleaning is easy they thought it wasn't working Monday to Friday 8-2

Cleaning isn't an easy job, and warehouse work doesn't appear to suit you. Why don't you apply for a job that interests you?

I feel it would be hard to find a job that would fit around the few hours you have been offered, so a full time retail seems the best option.

Your family know you better than us on here, so maybe ask them for their advice

Question Author

Well no cleaning is not easy when you got a certain amount of time and with the warehouse job it a tricky one as they got an ex employee back before getting rid of me. Hope I find full time in retail.

I hope so.   Best of luck to you.

If you are being inconvenienced by them i would stay and look for a more suitable job, or maybe you could leave and train to do some trade .

Sorry is the company you work for saying that 8-2 is too much for you?

Cleaning  for 6 hours 8am to 2pm sounds rather too much if there is no food break or lunch hour.

I would be exhausted !

I understood that Abbey was on a 30-hour week (6 hours per day Mon-Fri) but she has not given details of any rest breaks.

Abbey tends to be a bit monosyllabic - it would be good if she gave more details in her answers.  Could you please, Abbey?

I think if I remember my employment law that you can work for 6 hours without a break
