I believe Abbey mentioned having dyspraxia last year...which would go a long way to explain some of her difficulties

My colleuge said to ask for my hours until I find a job with more houra

Abbey, well, good luck!

What is different about you now compared to what like you were when your hours were reduced?

What have you learnt about the job or yourself that makes you sure you can work more hours at the care home and do it to the required standards?

Abby- do you talk these things through with your mum, who knows you best and is the one who provides food and accommodation? And I mean talk with her rather than by text. It looks to me as if you're being given lots of advice here but nothing ever changes.

224 answers for an inane question.

What shirt should I wear?

And the powers that be protect threads like this?

LOL,,,

What a joke this q+a site has become

OZZY, It changed from being about clothes after the first two pages but don't let the facts get in the road, eh?

Yes, TCL, but the 'mantra from the mods' is that threads will be closed down if they go off-topic. Many have been (outside chatterbank, of course) but this one remains. Another example of inconsistent application of 'the rules'.

1ozzy. This thread has moved on to other questions, advice given, and , in my humble opinion should not continue further, as Abbey is still going to listen to a" colleague" rather than us.

ZACS, the question relates to ABBEY's new employment and the follow-up posts also relate to her employment and her prospects.

I see no problems with that.

TCL, sufficient answers were given on the first page. Certainly by the third. The OP has a history of not acknowledging good advice. This is a known fact which should be borne in mind.

09.11/  Couldn't agree more - sometimes I think the poster is playing a bit of a game with people who answer - perhaps her time would be better spent learning how to converse properly.

Or it's just one big wind-up.

I tend to think either Abbey has the problem  I asked her about because I recognise the behaviour, or you are are right Zak.  I hope its the behaviour problem and if that's the case we stay polite on her threads.

Ed .Please close this thread as it has become ridiculous now with petty remarks. If Abbey has further questions, she can start a new thread...

So what I'll do is see my boss on Monday and say if I'm willing to learn can they give me a chance if not ill quit.

Willing to learn what?

You'll quit the carehome. abbey?  What good will that do?  Until you find another job you'll have no money at all coming in then.

will you tell your mum what you are planning to do on Monday or will you tell her afterwards. She might just be able to give you better advice.

No just say to them if they don't give me more hours
