What Do I Do If My Work Don't Reply?

I've sent the care home an email asking if I can change my days as my new job days were only available Monday yo Wednesday. What do I do they haven't replied to my email.

They haven't treated me right so why should I repay? I've seen one of the girls since I been off she said someone doing her head in I guess it supervisor

2 weeks normally which I did by the time I sent email

Yet again Abbey totally ignores any question asking for more information from her, only sees what she wants to see, answers only what she wants to answer and gives answers that don't really make sense or follow on from the conversations.

You ABers must all be saints, trying to help Abbey see sense.

No I didn't want to change I got 2nd job to add up the hours I been given

No countrylover- she already has one part time stair cleaning job and wants to change her days to fit around her new Monday-Wednesday cleaning/housekeeping job

I'm trying to help abbey as she clearly needs help and seems unable to discuss issues with friends and family or make decisions herself. I'm also hoping that in time she may try to help others by contributing to other people's questions rather than just her own

If the current care home won't change your days, you'll not have a second job, will you?

You are working set days at the care home.

The care home will have other staff doing the duties you do on the other days (your off days).

For you to change your care home days may not be possible as it would involve changes to the other peoples days and this might not be possible as they may have commitments on the days they don't work at the care home.

So hopefully you can see that every action has a knock on effect.

The only way you could change your days is if you find another staff member doing the same job on your off days that would be willing to swap, and then ONLY if management agree - its not your or the other persons decision.

Abbey, what do you mean 'they haven't treated me right'? They didn't ask you to leave when you weren't up to working full-time - and they put up with you asking for your hours back just because you wanted them to. (Some employers might have asked, 'Are you kidding?').

People do swap thier days and the main cleaners do the stairs on my days off

Abbey/ I just have to say, having worked as a temp.in many jobs, I have never ever come across anyone like you!  You must have been on the work circuit for 15-16 years and surely, by now, you know how to conduct yourself and overcome problems as they arise, though many seem to be of your own making.  The HB job was a disaster - should you ever have considered it?  Hope you do telephone the Home /Care Manager first thing tomorrow morning and get things sorted out once and for all.
