You'll need to work hard to make sure you impress them in your new job to make sure they don't fail your probation or reduce your hours, and also try harder to be flexible and avoid issues with your supervisor- and be lucky to find you enjoy working with your colleagues and managers. With all that you might just make more of a success of it than in your last few roles

No I am getting paid from the care home foe my leave

So if you leave or get released by the current care home you will be expected to repay the unearned portion of the holidays taken.

That's good that it's paid leave, Abbey - even if it's just 9 hours a week, it's some money coming in!

Why not try for christmas jobs such as a supermarket, Arogs etc.

That way you'd have some money coming in, you'd get more experience and you could stick at it even if you don't like it, as you know it would have a definate end date.  Or you may find you do like it and put your name in for any vacancies tgat arise.

Your qualification is in customer services?

I'm not leaving I'm just switching my days

Question Author

Yes new

There is a good chance they won't agree to everything you want and may see it as an opportunity to say goodbye

I only asked because you don't seem to see your employer as a customer

You can afford to go to concerts, buy new outfits for Beaujolais Day as well as paying for drinks on that day, you must have quite a bit of money coming in. Do you pay your mum board money?

Question Author

I did until they cut my hours and mu supervisor treating me differently. Yes I've paid rent

"I'm not leaving I'm just switching my days" surely that is a decision for your current employer and not up to you?

Question Author

Well I'll say I was wondering if I could swap my days

Question Author

Right so I spoke to them they spoke to my supervisor and she said no so I'm abit stuck in the middle as it would be more hours if I did monday to Wednesday at the new job

If you are not careful you will loose both jobs. I am getting the impression you think your needs should be accommodated rather than those of the people you work for. Resign from the care home. Work hard and use your initiative at the new job and if you do well maybe they will increase your hours

Question Author

There was a Tuesday and Thursday one but they offered me Monday to Wednesday which is more hours and they need notice if I resign so do I do Tuesday and Thursday until i leave care home?

You have already agreed with the new employer to start Monday 20th on a Mon to Wed rota.

Therefore, that is what you should do.

The new employer will already have settled on a rota for the other days. so do not mess them around, or you will end up with no job.

Question Author

Well I don't know what to do now I haven't said anything to them yet or quit the care home

Well, Abbey, it looks like you'll be doing a part-time job in one place or another. Your plan to do both, with days and hours being arranged to suit you, is patently not being  greeted as a great plan!

This is going to play with my mental health all this.
