Getting into advertising..

Does anybody have any experience or suggestions of how to go about getting into advertising?

I'm a recent graduate and very interested in all aspects of the industry, but at a bit of a loss where to start!

Any ideas welcome :)

Well if I was in your situation I would find out all the local advertising agencies in my area and write a letter saying that you are a graduate and want to get into advertising and are they taking on any staff. Just keep on knocking at doors. I would also start taking the magazine called Campaign which you might have to order from W H Smith if you are not in London, which is the magazine for all the advertising world and there may be contacts in there.
