Personally I think the Scottish league is poor, during the 60's ,70's and 80's it was a better standard so you could argue that players from that era were better.

While he has had a few injurys he has hardly taken la liga by storm, which would suggest he was a big fish in a very small pond.

You can't compare with the old days. If the old players had the same technology, (boots, kit, ball, pitch, etc). and didn't have to have other jobs as well, who knows?
