teaching editing

i have a job interview on wednesday for the position of multimedia teaching assistant. Part of the interview is to teach 6 11-12yr olds for 30mins about basic editing using windows movie maker 2 and teaching them about a timeline. I have my lesson plan sorted but was wondering if any abers had any suggestions for me that i may not have picked up? How to keep it fresh and exciting etc?

I think you have the lesson plan and are asking for any extras that can make it more entertaining for the students so you are not going for the wrong job!

I'm sorry but I have no idea about movie maker but make sure you constantly ask them concpt checking questions (ensuring learning is taking place is very hot right now) and if you can have some sort of quiz at the end to check their understanding will be noted.

talk as confident as you can, even if underneath your nervous as, try to keep the class interested, make it enjoyable, circle the class make sure everyone understands, keep the noisey ones quiet and encourage the quiet ones to speak. Summarise and smile.

Cheers for the top answers, I have it all pretty sorted its just that when you concentrate on something so much it can be relatively easy to miss things out. Thanks alot :)
