If an employee admits to gross misconduct and has agreed to all the facts and any terms, but will not attend a disciplinary on the grounds of depression. Should we still keep this within the Company or involve Police authorites?

whit,we had the same situation at my job the individual went ill kept sending the sick chits in .but we saw her in town shopping we kept a record of her activities and eventually sacked her,slowly slowly catch the monkey,paitence is a virtue
