I would appreciate your opinions on the situation I now find myself in which is having to choose between two jobs one of which is a Tour Guide which I have done before and am fully trained to do and used to enjoy and was confident at my job (but was made redundant following terrorism attacks and it's subsequent effects on the tourism industry) However although it is well paid is only seasonal. The other choice is as an Operations Assistant (Administrative) in an office where I will be trained. Seem nice people, and is a permanent position. However, I cannot guarantee that I will enjoy it, never having done it before. But it is also well-paid but with stability.

Both positions are fairly local to me and both are full-time.

Thanks!

All depending on your age, and looking to the future,it could be time to go for stability, but in the end, the decisions yours. Good luck with whichever you decide.
Do you have a mortgage with a protection policy which covers you if you're unemployed? Tourism is definitely more seasonal and if we are unfortunate enough to suffer another major terrorist attack in this country, you could find yourself unexpectedly out of work. Unless unless you're very young, sooner or later you will need to start thinking about job stability and boring things like contributing into a pension scheme to have some income in old age.. The admin job may be a little more boring but if they're offering to train you and increase your skill level perhaps in the long term this route might offer a better chance of promotion.
